About The Foundation
The Plant a Million Corals Foundation is a science-driven nonprofit based right here in the Florida Keys, dedicated to restoring dying reef ecosystems at an unprecedented scale. Founded by pioneering marine biologist Dr. David Vaughan, the organization utilizes a groundbreaking “micro-fragmentation” technique that allows corals to grow 25 to 40 times faster than they do in the wild. By producing resilient, fast-growing coral fragments in their land-based nurseries, they are providing a real, measurable beacon of hope for marine habitats worldwide. For every $10 we raise together, we can actually grow a new coral for the reef, turning a small contribution into a living piece of our ocean’s future.
